Hey guys! I have serious reservations about Facebook's unethical behaviour and also found myself wasting too much time on there.
I submitted an appeal but I doubt facebook will actually respond. My original account has marketplace blocked and it's been 2 weeks now. Not be new to Facebook.
There are lots of established accounts (several years old with activity) that do not have access to it.
First of all, ensure that you are eligible to have access to the Facebook marketplace, the requirements are provided above. I recently launched a new Facebook account after I had deactivated my old one several months ago.

I don't see the button available at all on pc or on mobile. However, I would like to still be able to use market place, so I made a new account.

The problem is I have bookmarks of items and sellers I want to chat. After a few days (in my experience), you'll see the marketplace app on your phone. You have to upload that phone number, and then you have to download the FB app, and then messenger. Secured my account, updated Facebook, delete all my apps. Are there minimum requirements to get facebook marketplace? Then, feel free to delete the app and messenger on your phone, and use marketplace from desktop only.It usually takes 2-4 months of daily usage on that account to get marketplace feature.
