Travis and Gabby first meet as neighbors in a small coastal town and wind up in a relationship that is tested by life's most defining events. The movie ending broke my heart and I cried like a baby, for both happy and sad reasons.

I saw it once. There are two versions to this film and it is for good reason. The lives of a young couple intertwine with a much older man, as he reflects back on a past love.

I also bought the soundtrack. But wanted to watch it again. Directed by Michael Hoffman.

So romantic and sad, had me bawling on a couple of occasions. This is the second Nicholas Sparks film involving James Marsden. The first being The Notebook wherein he portrayed Lon Hammond. This is the one of the best new Netflix movies of 2020. How they find each other after 20 years and reignite the love that has never gone away is exciting and at some points sad. The story of a privileged girl and a charismatic boy whose instant desire sparks a love affair made only more reckless by parents trying to keep them apart.
