I guess they where trying to do something different and maybe some people liked it but I was not happy at all and felt I just wasted my time. Wow I had not watched a movie with such a nonsensical screenplay for a long long time, and I advise you to better use your time. This movie highlights what really talented actors these two guys are and why we've enjoyed watching them for so long!!! Also some funny parts as well as tension and action. There’s nothing duller than a character that keeps within the confines of his stereotype, but Jim becomes such a wild card that it makes him impossible to track, which is a major problem for a heist movie where one wrong move could ruin the operation. Cage and Wood have great chemistry, bolstered by the sharp patter in the script.

The movie is about 2 cops doing a crime and the character played by cage is really unstable and would be seen as weird and antisocial while his partner Elijah is a normal guy that feels like he is getting played Then they decide to rob the place. I like this movie. I enjoyed this film. It was smart, fun and kinda strange. It is a movie that you can watch twice and give you a different experience the second time but none the less satisfying. I did not. This is the Nicolas Cage we love - silly, unpredictable, and hilarious. The ending might be the weak point of the film, maybe don't go in with too much expectations, but Nicolas Cage and Elijah Wood were really surprising. three times to be exact!!! I guess it's more like a dark comedy/thriller/drama. My mom and I watched this at home on Netflix and we were amused, kept interested/intrigued, and by the end, satisfied. The plot of The Trust is that Cage and Wood are cops who couldn't care less about their jobs and wind up stumbling across a drug operation that leads them to a secret vault. Was this review helpful? The characters feel very natural and real as does the whole movie really. Despite this film getting below average reviews I still dived in and watched it, and I wasn't disappointed, this film managed to exceed the low expectations I went in with. Is it like in the future and he started a family, or he is still a rapist?
