However, this book pleasantly surprised me. This was so good! Chase received a severe concussion and has no memory of his life before the accident and cannot even recognize his own family. He doesn't, in fact, remember anything . It had fun characters and so many instances had me laughing out loud. Yet these three refugee odysseys have so much in common. Chase is now torn between his two lives; his pre-fall macho, football, bully self and his post-fall friendly, moral, kind self.

Especially a girl named Shoshanna Weber, who's brother was embarrassed out of Hiawassee by his bullying. He later took that episode and created a book out of it, as well, in Korman wrote his first book, "This Can't be Happening at Macdonald Hall", when he was 12 years old, for a coach who suddenly found himself teaching 7th grade English. It reminds me of Because of Mr. Terupt meets Wonder.1.

Plus, there were enough twists to keep it interesting for even a mature reader, yet it still wasn't too much for a younger reader.
