I get mine from the people who clean my rugs. Try to get at least a 1/2 day of rest! So he has actually sanded (light grit) with his electric sander to get much of it off. It removed that nasty latex residue. My daughter moved in and we just threw down a new rug. It balled that gummy stuff up and it came right out. Would hate to gunk up my hardwood floors with that backing.

My hardwood flooring is the type that’s put in unfinished, then sanded, stained and polyurethaned on site. I know how frustrating it is to find that under a rug.
